They were not posed. They were not performing. They simply sat — and people couldn't look away.
Roly is vanilla fawn with a mask defined by bold, precise eyeliner — dark contrast that gives him an intensity the camera reads immediately. Mabel is white sable, cream-pale, with a natural gravity in her eyes that isn't affect. It may partly be her retinas changing. Either way, the camera finds it.
Both came to us through rescue. Roly was found near a dumpster, abandoned by a family who left the country. Mabel came from a presumed mill situation — bred before she was two, then discarded. That history lives underneath everything here. It isn't marketing. It's just true.
